About the Founder
Mr. Mohamed K. Abdelwahed
After completing technological studies and ten years of experience in women's fashion in Germany with the CAVITA, APRIORI and ESCADA groups, Mr. Mohamed K. Abdelwahed, the founder of the SONESSE group, launched himself on the growing Tunisian textile market in 1989 and installs its first clothing unit.
Its first approach was to develop a collaboration with German partners in order to develop its own know-how inspired by German rigor and seriousness and at the same time to forge solid and lasting trade agreements.
SONESSE quickly found success in the women's ready-to-wear market; Indeed, it has been able to prove itself in terms of quality and flexibility: two major assets which have propelled it onto the Tunisian textile scene and given it a good reputation.
Thanks to the vision of its founder, SONESSE is developing on several sites and diversifying its expertise by offering versatility and adequate solutions to any product and any material. This strategy has been successful since SONESSE has succeeded in diversifying its collaborations with major European contractors and moving from simple work to co-contracting, while remaining faithful to its primary values: quality and flexibility.
Today, SONESSE has structured itself into a group of several units (SONESSE, PRIMERA, SICONA, SEAQUEEN) and an optimal finished product solution to its loyal partners where it continues to evolve.
